Bloc Stars 2024 is happening on Saturday, 21st September, kicking off at 12:30pm. This competition breaks away from traditional categories, letting climbers of all grades from V0 to V7 compete together. With challenges tailored to suit every level, climbers will conquer routes that match their skills. Top performers will advance to the Bloc Stars Gauntlet, pushing their limits, and the best will face off in the thrilling finals. Enjoy a relaxed vibe with tasty food from Cassy’s Caribbean Food, Northern Monk beers, and tunes from House of Loft. Plus, free Tenzing all day! Aimed primarily at climbing coaches, it’s also suitable for enthusiastic climbers. You’ll participate in interactive games and coaching scenarios, enhancing both your climbing and coaching abilities. Physical Training for Climbing PT1 is a practical workshop designed to help you profile climbers and develop short-term training plans tailored to their goals. Targeted at climbers who are in the ‘learn to train’ phase, this course offers essential insights for those building a strong foundation in climbing technique and training. You’ll dive into the physical demands of various climbing disciplines, explore energy systems, and learn about different types of training, including off-the-wall exercises like core work, pull-ups, and fingerboarding, as well as on-the-wall exercises for strength, endurance, and strength endurance.
