Guidelines for Children & Young Climbers at City Bloc
At City Bloc, safety and enjoyment are our top priorities for all our visitors, including children and young climbers. To ensure a secure and memorable experience, we have established the following supervision guidelines:
- Age Groups & Supervision:
- All under 18s require a registered adult present throughout their visit.
- Ratio: 1adult per 2 children/teens maximum.
- Non-Climbing Adults:
- Accompanying kids? Registration and supervision are mandatory, but there is no charge for your attendance.
- Continuous Supervision:
- Ages 2-13 will need constant adult supervision. Please note that ages 2-13 are not allowed to use the gym or competition wall.
- Ages 14-17 Climbing:
- Ages 14-17 are allowed increased independence but an adult must be present in the building during their visit. Please note that for insurance purposes, ages 14-17 are not permitted to use the gym.
- Waiver & Family Section:
- Kindly add under 18s to the family section of the waiver.
- Junior Assessment:
- Climbers aged 14-17 can climb independently once they have passed a junior assessment. Please speak to our team to find out more.
We prioritise creating a secure environment for all climbers. Your cooperation with these guidelines ensures a safe and rewarding climbing experience. Feel free to speak to a friendly team if you haver any queries.
